Chorus singer of the popular “crusade” by Donzy ft kofi kinaata, Benji has criticized the demeanor of some music promoters in the industry.
On May 15 2020 on the most entertaining mid morning show across on Ahotor 92.3fm,the highlife song writer and singer in an exclusive interview shared his experience on how “a song distribution cheat” made him persue law in the UK .
“Mark Okraku Mantey was supposed to be the sole owner of my album but because he wanted to promote songs I thought didn’t need attentions , I decided to promote my favorite and that was “2 sure”. So I ended up in the hands of one cantamanto man who cheated me”
Benji stated clearly that the money agreed on between he and the song distributor “kantamanto man” was not what he received.
“I spent close to GH ¢50000 to take the full music right from my team to him which he agreed on paying me ¢18000 – ¢20000, bad anyways but I needed money for my next production. He only paid ¢3500 and denied he paid me fully “It was because of this kantamanto man’s cheat that made me travel outside to study law and I will gradually get back at him “he emotionally added.
He lastly promised other less privileged artist facing similar problem he was going going to use his power as a lawyer to advocate for them .
