
Artiste Biography – DopeNation
As today marks the birthday of Ghanaian dynamic music duo, DopeNation of Lynx Entertainment, Afromusik.com bring to you the biography of these dope twins artiste.
DopeNation is a Ghanaian musical duo of identical twin brothers born on 7 May 1993 (26 years), composed of Michael Boafo, popularly known as B2, and Tony Boafo, known as Twist. They are best known for producing hit songs such as Kpuu Kpaa by Shatta wale, Wow by Joey B ft EL, Segbefia by Joey B and EL, Poison by Ebony Reigns (The Late), Forever by Eazzy ft Mr Eazi, Nana Ama by Pappy Kojo, among others.
B2 and Twist decided on their career in music at a young age where they started playing beats on desks and chairs while in Junior High School. They studied at the University of Ghana and Ghana Technology University College respectively

DopeNation have been credited with producing sounds for Ghanaian artists including E.L, Shatta Wale, Joey B, Pappy Kojo, Eazzy, Flowking Stone, Strongman among others. DopeNation released their first single “Bebia Ye Shi” in 2016. In 2017, the duo released another single “Uh Huh”. In 2018, they were featured on EL’s single, “Ayeyi” which was produced by Pee GH.

In 2018 the duo released singles like; Naami, Eish, Ibi Things featuring Quamina MP, Tulenkey, Eddie Khae, Twitch & Kofi Mole among others. In April 29, 2019, DopeNation was signed to Lynx Entertainment and later released their hit song Zanku on 30 April, 2019. In August, they released Confam, which features Medikal.
In December 2019, DopeNation released their first diss song to rapper Kwesi Arthur which titled Chairman. B2 and Twist comes forth this year with singles and features like; Maye Fine, Ego Over You featured by Liwin, Wobeti featured by Dj Wobete, 14 Days (Freestyle), Jesus (Freestyle) and was later featured on Krymi and Mr Drew Mega hit song, Dw3 remix, and currently the duo have been featured on Strongman’s anticipated Album titled 10am with a song called Walahi.
They were nominated for Music Producer Honor of the Year at the 2017 Ghana Music Honors Awards
